Well, i was thinking why small things easily get attention on a large scale and become viral? but i think the answer lies within that the larger the crowd the more popularity, and when one starts liking something the others blindly follow, same thing happens on Twitter when it comes to its Trending Topics!
Now here in this image also you an see that some are popular famous celebrities like Micheal Jackson, Harry Potter etc. On the other hand are some popular companies and their related social networking news like of Facebook. So Do you think this stuff should be change to something more amazing and powerful rather than millions of peoples just tweeting about it just to get on the top list and not doing it sincerely which makes twitter more of a problematic site where you get kind of stuffed up if you start reading other tweets. The celebrities or the famous personalities are atleast very fine on this that they rarely use these trending topics only if necessary and that's why we are more interested in reading their tweets!
Trending Topics should be more relevant and wide scoped so that everyone can tweet on it formally and the people should really be a little blunt too! If you know what I mean!
